Our client, a leading recruitment agency in the education sector, is seeking a dynamic Recruitment Consultant to join their expanding team. This role focuses on sourcing and placing temporary staff within Early Years settings. About the role
As a Recruitment Consultant in Early Years Education, you will be responsible for placing temporary nursery practitioners, teaching assistants, and support staff into early years settings, including nurseries and preschools. This role provides a rewarding opportunity to support young children’s development by ensuring early years providers have access to the best professionals for their staffing needs.
Key responsibilities:
- Sourcing candidates: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified early years practitioners, nursery nurses, and support staff for temporary placements
- Client development: Establish and nurture relationships with nurseries and early years settings, understanding their unique staffing needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions
- Full recruitment lifecycle: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including candidate sourcing, compliance checks, placements, and aftercare
- Compliance & safeguarding: Ensure all candidates meet the required safeguarding and compliance standards specific to early years environments
- Performance targets: Meet and exceed monthly placement and business development goals
- Ongoing support: Provide consistent aftercare to both candidates and nurseries, fostering long-term partnerships
What we’re looking for
- Recruitment experience: Proven experience in recruitment, preferably within the education or early years sector, or a high-volume temporary recruitment setting
- Understanding of the early years sector: Familiarity with the unique staffing needs of early years settings and the challenges they face
- Business development: Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with clients
- Safeguarding knowledge: A thorough understanding of safeguarding regulations specific to early years education Prior experience working within the early years sector is highly desirable
- Interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proactive and resilient approach
