Our client, a renowned recruitment agency, is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to join their Blue Collar Temps Trades and Labour division. This role focuses on placing temporary skilled and semi-skilled tradespeople into key roles within the construction and labouring industries, ensuring clients have the workforce needed to meet project deadlines.

About the Role

As a Recruitment Consultant within this division, you will specialise in sourcing candidates such as carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and general labourers for temporary assignments. You’ll work closely with construction firms to provide flexible, high-quality recruitment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Candidate sourcing: Build and manage a pipeline of skilled and semi-skilled tradespeople for temporary positions.
  • Client development: Establish relationships with construction firms and contractors, understanding their workforce needs.
  • Recruitment management: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, from sourcing to successful placement.
  • Compliance checks: Ensure all candidates meet industry and legal standards, including CSCS certifications.
  • Performance targets: Consistently meet placement and business development targets.
  • Aftercare support: Provide ongoing support to clients and candidates to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Recruitment background: Previous experience in recruitment, ideally within the trades and labour sector.
  • Industry expertise: Knowledge of the trades and labour market, including the challenges of temporary recruitment.
  • Compliance knowledge: Understanding of industry certifications and health and safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to manage relationships with clients and candidates effectively.
  • Goal-oriented: Proven track record of meeting and exceeding recruitment targets.
